About MARK

 W. Mark Whitlock is a lifelong storyteller. Whether behind the microphone, at the keyboard, or behind the scenes as a marketer, he has always found a way to understand and talk about two things: the audience and the story.

He is the author of the 2003 Amazon top-25 bestseller Simply Romantic Nights, wrote a family devotional for VeggieTales’ first theatrical release, and was the creative force behind the 250,000-selling Passport to Purity. For the last two decades, he has combined his love of family, ministry, broadcasting, books, and brand marketing into a career helping others tell their stories.

Today, Mark writes for his fellow Christian parents who are estranged from their adult children. He is not an expert, a theologian, or a pastor. He is a father living through it. His first marriage ended in divorce after twenty-five years, and in the years that followed, three of his children, at different times, chose distance from him. It’s a road he still walks today, one day at a time.

Mark and his wife, Heather, call Birmingham, Alabama, home, where they love on their children and grandchildren and open their home to medically fragile children in foster care.
